Can you describe how a cottonmouth snake captures a fish?
I’ve lived on a creek in coastal North Carolina for 5 years and have seen four instances of a cottonmouth swimming in the stream with a fish in its mouth. In every instance, the snake went to shore to position the fish to be swallowed head first. However, I’ve not seen the snake actually capture its prey. Is the snake in or under water when it captures the fish? Or does it strike from a log or branch? In the instances which I’ve seen, I’ve first noticed the snake and fish 30 feet or more from shore, which suggests that the snake was in the water when the fish happened by. However, hunting the shoreline would seem to be more productive.

Yes they are underwater when they catch their prey.
They prefer hunting in shallow pools where they fish may be trapped.
It says that they will submerge their head in shallow water but also dig in the mud to get tadpoles.

is there any thing like a pistol sross bow that shoota like dart/short arrows?? if you could give me some links to make my own…
lol i love guns, but because of the price of ammo goin up, i need a new hobby…xD
Several companies make pistol crossbows, but they are not very powerful.
Possibly you might learn to reload, assuming you shoot something that is centerfire. This DOES lower the cost considerably after the initial investment in the equipment which does NOT need to be fancy or expensive.
