Are there any legal issues involved if I sell my used hunting rifle directly to another private citizen?
Any paperwork? Must I use a gun dealer? Or is it just like selling someone a used freezer, for example?
Assuming your in the USA……
It is completely legal for you to sell your rifle to somebody…..
Of course do what I do — Write down from there drivers license, name, DOB and address…. That way if johnny law dropped by because the gun was used illegaly you can point them to where you sold it…..
Also if you dont like the person (maybe they look or are acting sketchy) you do not have to nor are you obligated to sell it to him…….
Otherwise it is quite legal……..

Moose hunting ammunition for 270 win and 30-06 ?
Me and my grandfather are going on a eastern Canada moose hunt in the up coming hunting season. We are both bringing our own rifles, I am taking my 270 win, and my grandfather is taking his 30-06. We are in a debate about what ammo we should use for both rifle. What ammo would you use for the 270 and the 30-06 ?

Moose are large heavy animals. You will want a heavy bullet that will penetrate a lot of muscle before expanding. I’d recommend 180gr for the ’06 and 150gr for the 270.
Your .270 is a fine cartridge, but on the light side for moose so keep your shots under 200 yards and be extremely careful of shot placement. Study moose anatomy before the hunt and make sure you only take a certain kill shot.

My dad is lazy does not do anything or is interested in anything.. how do i buy for him?
Its 3am on xmas eve, im S.O.L. I know that. His birthday is in January, hopefully I can make it up to him than. (i re wrapped a deck of cards for xmas morning lame i know!- Keep in mind im a student and have no money what so ever as well ((he paid for my ticket home, and that alone I feel i need to give him something more))
He lives out in the country by himself. He kinda fishes in the summer(new fishing gear last year) um, he knows his politics, and he arrogant, he a hermit i guess, he watches cnn all day, and doesn’t read other than the local news paper. i would like to be creative with something. any ideas.
I have until jan. 31st to think of something to send him (oh I live on the west coast, he lives in the middle of Canada, – shipping will be an issue..)
