Crossbow Parts Diagram

How does a crossbow work?

What are all the parts of a crossbow? how is it loaded? how is the arrow fired? etc..
Maybe a diagram would also be helpful, thanks.

Imagine a compound bow on a rifle.

The rifle base has a horizontally mounted crossbow with a large square-ish figure on the front. One simply steps through the figure, grabs the single string (Not the up or bus cables), and pulls. You can be pulling upwards of 179 pounds with a good crossbow. You keep pulling until it comes under your scope or sight, where it’ll nock and lock in place.

From there, you simply load a bolt, point, aim, and fire.

Lather, rinse, repeat.
