Fishing Gear At Walmart

Is this an attack on our 2nd Amendment Rights?
I haven’t been to my favorite gun/sporting goods store in about a year. Once the gun grabbers got their man in office, I started stocking up on ammo. Depending on caliber and cost I stockpiled 6-12 months worth of ammo between 11/08 and 1/09. The only thing I didn’t stockpile was 20 and 12 gauge 7.5, 8 and 9.Never a shortage of that stuff at WalMart!
Anyhow, I thought I was in the wrong place. This store was about 50% firearms, 25% fishing and 25% everything else. Now they are about 25% firearms, 25% fishing, 25% canoe, kayak, hiking, etc. They have books from the Audubon Society! This 25% didn’t really exist before here. Another new things is air and pellet rifles. Thank G_d no airsoft, but Daisy, Crosman, Gamo and Beeman. Lots of this stuff! My friend behind the counter says the inventory reflects what sells. Half the guns are gone! A big part of that is now air/pellet guns as well as tree hugger gear.
I think this is a bad sign…
This store is probably trying to survive the best they can while competing with Wal-Mart.
If being primarily a gun store wasn’t working for them, they are trying to expand into being a more general wilderness store.
I don’t think the 2nd Amendment was involved at all, merely market forces.
If you want to make sure they stay a gun store, start making all your gun, ammo and accessory purchases there vs. Wal-Mart.
PS – To Teknoman Saber, your answer is incorrect. NRA tried to stop AB 962 in California. I got the alerts so I know. You can say they failed to stop the new ammo law, but it’s not correct to say they did nothing. And they are working with a state legislator to repeal it via a new bill.
