Fishing Gear Beginners
Beginner trout fishing?
Hi, I will be staying in NC/VA area in June and I understand that there is a some good rivers/lake with trout.
Do you have any suggestions on how I can learn to fish in that time. Can i rent the gear (typically) or shall I buy? probably wont do this much. Any website recommeded?

simple bait fishing is the way to go, you can buy the required equipment very cheaply either on line or from a tackle shop.
Now search online for fishing knots and begin to practice, you need to learn how to tie at least 2 different knots effectively, the blood knot being foremost
Any chance you get talk to fishing enthusiasts, either online or at any nearby fishing venue, you will find that most of them will be more than happy to advise you.
Do not rent your equipment, buy it, it is cheap and will probably get used again, and if not it always makes a good present for a young family member or friend
There are other types of fishing you can try but bait fishing is the most reliable and undemanding and can be learned within just a few hours
