do plastic baits dry out or get old if not keep in a zip seal bag?
Do you have to keep plastic fishing baits in some type of sealed bag to keep them fresh, how long will it take them to go ‘bad’ if keep in a normal plastic tackle box?
I’ve never had them dry out, but I wouldn’t advise just leaving them loose in your tackle box. The solvents used in some soft plastic baits can dissolve the plastic in your tackle box over time, and if you put it away for the winter with your baits loose in the trays, you may find them welded to the trays when you take it out again in the spring.
