Hunting And Fishing Terms
Does anyone know of any great long term (not camping) tipi and/or yurt villages in The U.S.?
As far away from society as possible; garden, solar and wind power permitted, and with good hunting and fishing sites nearby. Self sustainable living. If some/or any of the above are not permitted, I am still interested. Florida would be my first choice, then maybe New Mexico (around Taos), but info for anywhere, especially with links and contact info would be much appreciated.
Also, any sites where I can set up my tipi in the wilderness legally. We don’t necessarily need communal living.

Not a Yurt but a community that sounds like what you may be seeking is the Arcosanti Sustainable Community in Cordes Junction, AZ. Yurts are nice but if it gets real cold or for long term habitation there are more sustainable (and comfortable) options.
