Good rifles that are fun, and good for hunting?
Basically
Fun to shoot,
reasonably powerful,
Decent range(doesn’t have to be knocking game over at 600 yards),
ammo at reasonable prices,
accurate
range gun and hunting gun for texas game(potentially able to stop a black bear with the right loads)
less than $500 price tag
A lever-action 30-30 is a blast to shoot, excellent for hunting (at least within 200 yards), and comes in way under $500. I don’t know about accuracy but the only time I ever shot one I was able to put five rounds in a 3″ circle at 100 yards. The owner thought maybe there was something wrong with his scope because he couldn’t hit the paper.
